The JRVAL story begins with a deep respect for metal. Our founder, a renowned casting expert from Tianjin, built his reputation solving the industry's toughest challenges. "Casting isn't just pouring metal," he explains. "You have to understand the science behind every material."
This expertise was proven when a major project faced critical failures with their large DN1200 CF8M butterfly valve bodies. The castings, intended for a high-pressure, corrosive line, repeatedly cracked or failed strength tests. Our founder diagnosed the issue: for a casting that thick, standard heat treatment allowed harmful chromium carbides to form, weakening the stainless steel butterfly structure. His solution involved a precise adjustment to the material mix—adding specific levels of Molybdenum and Nitrogen—and a rigorous two-step heat treatment: an 1120°C solution anneal followed by a rapid water quench. The process worked perfectly. The castings for the high performance butterfly valve (HPBV) were solid, exceeding all specifications.
This hands-on, scientific approach to butterfly valve casting is the DNA of JRVAL. It’s our guarantee that every valve butterfly valve, whether a standard WCB butterfly valve or a specialized Hastelloy valve, starts with a foundation of uncompromising material integrity.
Forging a New Path: The Vision for Integrated Solutions
While our casting quality was excellent, our co-founder recognized a critical challenge. "Our customers loved our castings," she recalls, "but they wanted finished products. We were doing the hardest part, then watching other factories add the real value through machining and assembly." The company was efficiently running toward a dead end.
With bold foresight, she championed a complete transformation. This meant implementing robust ERP systems and achieving ISO 9001 certification to build a foundation of trust and efficiency. Crucially, it meant investing in our own state-of-the-art valve machining and butterfly valve assembly lines. It was a massive risk, but the alternative—remaining just a foundry—was far greater. This strategic leap allowed us to become a full-service OEM manufacturer butterfly valve, controlling every step of production. A few years later, when the raw castings market crashed, many foundries failed. JRVAL thrived. We had evolved from a supplier of parts to a provider of solutions, like the popular lug type butterfly valve and wafer type butterfly valve.
