The story of JRVAL begins not in a boardroom, but on the foundry floor. Our founder's journey started in Tianjin, the epicenter of China's butterfly valve industry, where he learned from old masters and built a reputation as the go-to problem-solver for complex casting failures. This practical, science-driven approach is the DNA of our company.
A defining moment came when a factory struggled with failing large diameter butterfly valve bodies. Their large DN1200 castings, made from CF8M butterfly valve grade stainless steel for a high-pressure line, repeatedly developed micro-cracks. Our founder diagnosed the issue: standard heat treatment was causing chromium carbide formation, weakening the steel. His solution was a masterclass in metallurgy: adjust the material mix with precise amounts of Molybdenum and Nitrogen, and implement a rigorous two-step heat treatment involving a high-temperature solution anneal and a rapid water quench. The result was a flawless, robust casting. While our casting quality was revered, our co-founder recognized a critical challenge: customers needed finished products, not just components.
