A Legacy Forged in Steel: Our Core Competency

Since the first casting was poured in our foundry in 2004, JRVAL has remained steadfastly committed to a single principle: casting is the genesis of quality. As one of the few butterfly valve manufacturers in China with complete, in-house control—from mold development to final product testing—we understand that the vitality of a valve begins with its casting integrity.

After two decades of technological refinement, we are proud to introduce our new generation of precision-cast stainless steel butterfly valves. By leveraging the advanced silica sol investment casting process, we have overcome persistent industry challenges, achieving a monumental leap in quality to deliver valve bodies with zero sand inclusions and zero porosity.

The Silica Sol Advantage: How We Engineer a Flawless Foundation

The reliability of any valve is directly threatened by casting defects. Traditional sand casting methods are often prone to issues like sand holes, shrinkage, and porosity, which compromise the valve's ability to maintain a seal and withstand pressure over time. Our silica sol investment casting process eliminates these vulnerabilities.

Our Precision Process Explained

Our method is a multi-stage discipline: it begins with creating a precise wax pattern, which is then coated with multiple layers of a fine ceramic slurry (silica sol). This shell is fired at high temperatures to both harden the ceramic and melt out the wax, creating a perfect, one-piece mold. Molten stainless steel is then poured into this pristine cavity.

The Key to 23% Higher Density

To achieve superior metallurgical structure, we utilize a vacuum-assisted pouring system combined with meticulous, sensor-driven temperature control of the molten steel. This synergy eliminates trapped gases and ensures complete mold fill, resulting in a casting that is up to 23% denser and entirely free of internal voids compared to conventional methods.

Dual-Assurance Quality Verification

Every casting undergoes a rigorous, two-stage non-destructive testing (NDT) protocol. We first conduct Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) to detect any surface-breaking defects, followed by Radiographic Testing (RT) (X-ray) to guarantee internal soundness. Our quality is further validated by third-party laboratory reports, confirming full compliance with ASTM A351 CF8M material standards.

Engineered for Extremes: Value in the Harshest Conditions

A flawless casting translates directly to superior performance and extended service life, especially in applications where failure is not an option.

  • Chemical Processing: The high-purity, homogenous microstructure of our CF8M stainless steel provides exceptional resistance to intergranular corrosion in chloride-rich environments. (See our EDX spectroscopy analysis here).
  • High Temperature & Pressure Service: The absence of micro-porosity ensures our valves maintain their structural integrity under severe thermal and mechanical stress. Our valves demonstrate class-leading low leakage rates in simulated 550°C / PN40 (Class 300) conditions. (Watch the comparative leakage test video).
"We specified a custom DN800 butterfly valve from JRVAL for a critical seawater intake line. After six months of continuous operation and erosion testing, it maintained zero leakage. This is the first time we have explicitly mandated silica sol precision cast valves in our tender documents—the performance has validated that decision."

Our Founding Promise: The Future is Cast in Precision

From our original foundry workshop to today’s smart factory, the tools have evolved, but our core conviction has not: the casting is the lifeline of the valve. Our obsession with metallurgical perfection is not just a manufacturing process; it's a promise of reliability to our customers.

JRVAL will continue to pioneer advancements in precision casting technology, ensuring we provide an ever-stronger and more dependable foundation for fluid control systems worldwide.
